VideoMonster Inc. (referred to as ‘the Company’) complies with all laws and regulations related to personal information protection, including the ‘Personal Information Protection Act’ and ‘Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.’. The company is doing its best to protect users’ personal information by complying with the Privacy Policy set by the company.
Article 1 (General Rules)
1) ‘Personal Information’ is information about a living individual that can identify the corresponding individual based on the name (nickname) and email address included in the information (this includes information which alone may not identify a specific individual but can be easily combined with other information and used for identifying individuals).
2) The company discloses the Privacy Policy on its homepage and applications so that members can always have easy access.
3) The company has established necessary procedures to revise the Privacy Policy for continuous improvement of the policy. And when revising the Privacy Policy, a version number, etc. is identified and given so that members can easily identify the revised matter.
Article 2 (Items of Personal Information and Collection Method)
1) The company collects the following personal information for membership registration, and smoother customer consultation

Article 3 (Consent to Collection of Personal Information)
1) The company creates an environment in which members can decide to proceed with membership registration after agreeing with the company’s Privacy Policy.

– Checking whether to receive email (newsletter, payment details): used to check whether the member agrees to receive emails such as update information, event news, payment details
2. Optional fields
– Gender, Birthday, Bio: used for securing information for reference for the company’s development and improvement
– Contact information and address: used for confirming the suitability of participants when providing events and prizes and securing the correct address in case delivery is needed

We will use the information we collect about you in the following ways:

– provide you with tailored or personalized information or content that may be of interest to you;
– enforce our terms, conditions and policies;
– respond to, handle, and process queries, requests, applications, complaints, and feedback from you;
– improve and develop the Platform and to ensure tools on the Platform are presented in the most effective manner for you and your device;
– administer the Platform and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes;
– detect abuse, fraud and illegal activity on the Platform and ensure your safety and security including reviewing user content, messages and associated metadata for breaches and inappropriate content;
– provide users with personalized advertising, where such relevant feature is provided;
– comply with any applicable laws, regulations, codes of practice, guidelines, or rules, or to assist in law enforcement and investigations conducted by any governmental and/or regulatory authority; for any other purposes for which you have provided the information, with your consent or at your direction;
– transmit to third parties including our business partners, third party service providers and agents, and relevant governmental and/or regulatory authorities for the aforementioned purposes; and
– any other incidental business purposes related to or in connection with the above.rights.
Article 5 (Installation/Operation and Refusal of Automatic Personal Information Collection Device)
The company uses cookies to store and find member’s information from time to time. Cookies are text files of less than 4KB that are automatically transferred to the customer’s computer when accessing VideoMonster and are stored on the member’s computer hard disk.
1) Purpose of using cookies
– It is used to provide optimized customized information including information about member’s visit and usage, whether access is made secure, and advertisements.
2) Installation/operation and refusal of cookies
1. Members have the right to choose usage and collection of cookies. Therefore, by setting the options of the web browser they use, they can allow all cookies, check each time a cookie is saved, or refuse to save all cookies.
2. How to set up preference for cookies (Google Chrome)
– ’More’ on the top right corner > Settings > Privacy & security > Cookies and other site data. If the member refuse to store cookies, there may be difficulties in using the service.
Article 6 (Usage other than for the Said Purpose and Provision and Sharing to Third Parties)
1) The company uses the member’s personal information within the scope notified in ‘Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information’, and does not use it beyond the scope or disclose it to other people, other companies or organizations, etc.
2) The following cases are exceptions.
1. When there is a request from a government agency for investigation purposes according to related statutes
2. In the case of providing to advertisers, partners, or research organizations for statistical writing, academic research or market research in a form in which specific individuals cannot be identified
3. When there is a request in accordance with the procedures set forth in other related laws and regulations
4. Even if information is provided in accordance with relevant laws or at the request of an investigative agency in exceptional matters, it is operated in principle to notify the parties of the information. There may be cases in which notification may not be made unavoidably due to legal grounds.
3) VideoMonster shall try its best to prevent information from being provided indiscriminately contrary to the original purpose of collection and use.

1) The company consigns personal information as follows to improve service, and stipulates necessary matters so that personal information can be safely managed when consigning contracts in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

Article 8 (Rights of Members and Legal Representatives and Methods of Exercised Thereof)
1) Members may exercise the following personal information protection rights at any time:
① Request to access personal information
② Request for correction if there is an error, etc.
③ Request for deletion
④ Request for processing suspension
2) With regards to members’ exercise of rights pursuant to Paragraph 1, the company shall take action without delay after verifying the requester’s identity if a member requests to view, correct, or withdraw membership by logging in and visiting Account Settings on the lower right corner of the application, or contact the person in charge of personal information management, by phone, e-mail, or fax.
3) If a member requests deletion or correction of any errors in personal information, the company shall not use or provide such personal information until the correction or deletion is completed.
Article 9 (Destruction and Separate Storage of Personal Information)
In principle, member’s personal information will be destroyed without delay when the purpose of collecting and using personal information is achieved. Procedure and methods for destroying personal information of the company are as follows.
1) Destruction procedure
① Information entered for membership registration is transferred to a separate DB (separate documents in case of paper documents) after the purpose is achieved, and is stored for a certain period of time according to internal policies and other related laws (refer to Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information).
② Personal information transferred to a separate DB shall not be used for any purpose other than purpose of storage except when required by relevant statutes.
2) Destruction method
① Personal information stored in electronic files are deleted using a technical method that cannot play the records.
② Personal information printed on paper is shredded with a shredder or destroyed through incineration.
3) Separate storage
① Personal information of members who have not used the VideoMonster service for one consecutive year (long-term non-users) is separately stored.
② Separately stored member information will be converted to a dormant account. The dormant account will be switched to active account once the member logs into the dormant account.
③ Information of members stored separately shall be retained for a certain period of time according to the relevant laws and regulations, and shall be destroyed when the period is over.
Article 10 (Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information)
In principle, member’s personal information will be destroyed when the purpose of collecting or receiving personal information is achieved. However, the following information is retained for the period specified for the following reasons:
1) Reasons for holding information according to the company’s internal policy
① Records for fraudulent users
– Reasons for preservation: to prevent re-enrollment of fraudulent user, to assist in disputes over rights violations such as defamation suits, etc. and to cooperate in investigations.

2) Reasons for information retention under relevant statutes
① Records on members’ withdrawal of contracts or subscriptions
– Reason for Preservation: in pursuant to Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.
– Preservation period: 5 years

– Reason for Preservation: in pursuant to Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.
– Preservation period: 3 years

Article 11 (Technical and Administrative Measures for Personal Information)
In handling members’ personal information protection, the company takes the following technical measures to ensure security in order to prevent personal information from being lost, stolen, leaked, tampered with or damaged.
1) Technical measures to protect personal information
① Member’s personal information is protected by a password, and only members can know the password of the corresponding user ID, and checking and changing personal information can be done only by members themselves who know the corresponding password.
② In order to prevent leakage of members’ personal information, such as hacking, the company currently uses a device that blocks intrusion from outside to prevent attacks and hacking from outside. In particular, servers with users’ personal information maintain a high level of security.
③ The company has a system that backs up the system and data in case of an emergency.
2) Administrative measures for personal information protection
① The company restricts access to personal information to a minimum number of people. Those included in the minimum number of people are as follows.
– A person who carries out marketing activities directly to users;
– A person who performs personal information management, such as personal information manager and personal information management officer;
– Other persons who have to unavoidably handle personal information as part of their work
② Regular in-house education and external consignment training on new security technologies and the obligation to protect personal information are provided for employees who handle personal information.
③ Internal procedures are prepared to prevent information leakage by people through security pledge of all employees at the time of joining the company and to monitor the implementation of the Privacy Policy and compliance of employees.
④ The handover between personal information-related handlers is strictly carried out while security is maintained, and the responsibility for any accidents related to personal information handling is clarified after entering and leaving the company.
⑤ The company is not responsible for events caused by members’ personal mistakes or the fundamental dangers of the internet. Each member shall be responsible for the proper management of his/her ID and password to protect his/her personal information.
⑥ In the event of loss, leakage, modulation, or damage of personal information due to internal manager’s mistake or accidents in technical management, the company will immediately inform the member of the fact and take appropriate measures and compensation.
Article 12 (Moving to External Site)
1) The company may provide members with links to other companies’ websites or materials. In this case, the Company has no control over external sites and materials and cannot be held responsible and guarantee the usefulness of the services or materials members receive from such service or materials.
2) If members click the link included by the company and go to the page of another site, the privacy policy of that site is irrelevant to the company. Members must check the policy of the newly visited site themselves.
Article 13 (Transmission of Advertising Information)
1) The company does not send commercial advertisement information for profit against members’ intention to refuse reception.
2) If a member has agreed to receive e-mails, such as newsletters, the company shall take measures to make the following content easily recognizable in the subject line and body of the e-mail:
① E-mail subject line: The word [Advertisement] may not be displayed in the subject line, and the main contents of the e-mail body column are displayed.
Article 14 (Duties of Notification)Notification shall be made on the VideoMonster website at least 7 days before the revision if there is addition, deletion, or modification of the contents of the current Privacy Policy due to changes in government policy or security technology.
